Florida Highwat Patrol: DeLand man dies in motor vehicle crash
DELAND -- A 21-year-old motorist was killed early Saturday when he lost control of his pickup truck on a curve and caused the vehicle to overturn after he apparently overcorrected his sterring, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
James D. Stepp, who was driving south on Fatio Road near McGregor Road in his GMC just before 1:15 a.m. when he ended up on the grass shoulder and then flipped the vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene, the FHP said.
