Port Orange motorist, 24, killed in I-95 crash near Daytona Beach
DAYTONA BEACH -- A 24-year-old Port Orange motorist was killed early Saturday when she veered off Interstate 95 while northbound near the U.S. 92 interchange and struck several pine trees, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
For yet unknown reasons, Nichole Mooney lost control of her 2006 Ford about 7:25 a.m., the FHP said. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Halifax Medical Center.
The FHP said an investigation is ongoing.
