Father's heroism remembered on Memorial Day

Veterans Day is always a somber day for me because my father was a World War II veteran.

He told me the stories about the war. He taught me the price of freedom. I realize that I have to now continue the fight for our freedom. There are too many of our Americans that fought for us and died. They died for us. Do not forget them!

They fought and died for one thing: Freedom.

Can we carry on their legacy? I hope so.

We are in very precarious times. Do we have the courage, the stamina, and guts to do what our Fathers did to save America again? I pray we do.

I put on my Father's military decorated coat today, and I am willing to go into battle so that what he and others did was not in vain. God bless America. God bless our Heroes.

It is time for us to continue: Have one-half their courage and continue the fight for freedom.
