Wolf Dogs get lots of attention during Shrimp and Seafood Festival
My Husband and I took the pups to the Shrimp and Seafood Festival on Flagler Avenue and what an adventure it was, not only for Miakoda and Walela, but to the many people who had saw these two beautiful Wolf Dogs for the first time.

NSBNEWS.net "Wolf Tails" blogger Pat Miller talks to NSBNEWS.net about Miakoda and Walela, two gorgeous Wolf Dogs who were a big hit on Flagler Avenue during Thursday's third annual Shrimp and Seafood Festival .
After we got parked, we walked first down to see the ocean. Koda started to sing to the waves, and of course, people started coming over. Once we started walking up Flagler Avenue, we were met by a lovely mother and daughter, who to my surprise, were actually looking for us.
They were from Pennsylvania and the daughter was so excited to meet the pups. She asked all kinds of questions about them and was having a lot of fun petting them. I didn’t think to bring a pen and paper so unfortunately I didn’t get her name but I did get her picture. Once we got to the barracades, we weren't making a lot of progress.
The pups seem to draw a crowd and they were more than happy to be getting all the attention that they were getting. We were walking through the crowds and not getting far, but the pups didn’t mind. They were checking out the smells from all the different food venders.
Finally we made it to the Flagler Tavern and Koda was looking up for his Strawberry Daiquiri. He didn’t get one tonight and I do believe he was a little disappointed. Lela didn’t mind because there were so many people to meet. She was having a lot of fun going from one person to the next. Both my husband and I were running into people we knew and so were the pups. When we walked by the pizza stand both of the pups were drooling. They seem to think that pizza and lasagna are very closely related and they should be able to have both.
To avoid a scene we started keeping the pups away from the food venders we didn’t want an incident where Lela or Koda tried to steal some food. We find it interesting that people come up to the pups and ask if they are all kinds of breeds, this while they are petting them. When I tell them what they are, they always pull back.
The children are the best.
They are so excited to meet an animal that they would probably not meet in any other way. They love to run their fingers through their fur and they always ask the best questions. When we continued our walk we ran into NSBNEWS.net's Henry Frederick and his lovely and beautiful wife, Sera Frederick. We stopped and did a video interview with them and then went over to the Jewelry Of Joy store.
Koda and Lela walked right in and we dropped their leashes as they made themselves at home in the store. The customers were so surprised as the pups walked around getting water and checking things out.
We said goodbye to our friends and headed back to our truck. Even while getting ready to leave, even more people stopped to talk with us about the pups.
We got the pups home just in time as the rain started just a few minutes after getting inside. The pups had a great time making more friends and getting out of the house. This was something they really needed and enjoyed. The nice thing about the pups is they are just happy to be with us. Money is never the issue.
