South Daytona's annual flu shot program begins

SOUTH DAYTONA -- South Daytona Fire Rescue marked Sept. 1 as the start of its Annual Flu Shot Program with shots flu available at the fire station behind South Daytona City Hall, 1672 S. Ridgewood Ave. from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. seven days a week.

The cost of the flu Shot is $25, cash or check. The fire department will accept Medicare Part B for non-HMO participants upon presentation of their Medicare card. Please bring your driver license for ID.

The vaccine will be administered to anyone 3-years-old and up. Pediatric patients are those patients who are 3 to 8 years old. Pediatric patients will receive two doses, 30 days apart, if they have never received the flu vaccine. Each dose is$25.
