Sheriff's Office seeking help in locating 84-year-old DeLand man

Robert Gorman, 84, of DeLand, who may have Alzheimer's, was reported missing by his family Thursday.

DEBARY -- The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help in locating an 84-year-old man who may have Alzheimer's and has been missing since 1 p.m. Thursday.

At that time Robert Gorman left 90 S. Charles R Beal Blvd. in DeBary heading north.

Relatives called the Sheriff's Office for help at 5:30 p.m. because Gorman had not yet arrived at his home on Robinwood Drive in DeLand.

Gorman was driving a 2001 GMC Safari van with gold lower panels and Florida license plate B217WA. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, blue and gray shoes, and an unknown color shirt. He is 5 feet 10 and weighs 185.

Anyone with information about Gorman's whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (386) 736-5999, or 911 if there is an emergency situation.
