NSBNEWS.NET IS NEW SMYRNA BEACH'S 24/7 ONLINE NEWSPAPER

The raw power of Mother nature struck Japan's northeast coast in March with a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami. It left 20,000 people dead or missing and $218 billion in damages to infrastructure.
Some 100,000 people have still not returned to their homes where a nuclear power plant's cooling system was knocked out by the tsunami, causing radiation to damage local produce.
A group of Stetson students visiting Japan were able to escape. We'll have their story in the Top 25 Stories of Volusia County.
